Charming identity for Wondermade, designed by The Heads of State.

Illustrator and designer Brent Couchman has a new website. Previously I was a fan of his awesome illustrations, but his new site has led me to see more of his graphic design work.

Including the great packaging seen above. He use to work a lot with Fossil doing some lovely things with them, but now he works at San Francisco based design agency Hatch. Hatch do a lot of good work, definitely worth a look; http://hatchsf.com/

Foundry Co | I love the modern look of Urban Wineworks wine labels created by Foundry Co. Although the labeling has strong vintage elements the final result is a fresh and modern. The logo is clever and wonderfully finished, the typography is beautifully crafted and the compositions are bold. Foundry Co is a creative branding agency, founded by Paul Wilkes and Scott Hill, based in Oklahoma City, Denver, Colorado and Dallas, Texas. They specialize in branding, illustration and web design.

We love the utilitarian look of the industrial era and the functional design that came with it. Those were hard times and designers back then took a little extra time to dress things up using banners, flourishes, etc…I think those types of visuals and the era from which they came will always be our main inspiration.
